What is a managed website?+
It is a website and an ongoing service in one. With Managed Website Launch, WTK Solutions designs and builds the website, then continues looking after hosting, deployment, HTTPS, maintenance, monitoring and support.
Is the website build included?+
Yes. Managed Website Launch includes a professionally designed website with up to 5 core pages for a £195 setup fee and £149 per month during the 12-month initial term. Requirements outside the included scope are quoted separately.
What happens after the first 12 months?+
The website build is fully paid and the service moves to Business Website Care at £109 per month. It then continues monthly and can be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice.
Do I need a managed plan?+
No. A managed plan is optional, but it is a good fit if you want one point of contact to remain responsible for the technical side after launch.
What happens after my website launches?+
With a managed plan, we continue to host, monitor and maintain the website. Without one, we agree a suitable handover and any future work can be quoted separately.
Who hosts my website?+
WTK Solutions arranges secure managed cloud hosting using modern infrastructure selected for the website. You deal with us rather than having to administer the hosting yourself.
Is SSL included?+
Yes. HTTPS setup and ongoing certificate management are included with managed website plans.
Can you update my website for me?+
Yes. Business includes 30 minutes and Business Plus includes 2 hours of agreed minor changes each month. Larger changes, new functionality or work outside the allowance are quoted separately.
What counts as a minor update?+
A minor update is a change to existing text, images, prices, opening hours or contact details. New pages, redesigns, custom code, integrations, copywriting and campaigns are separate work. Monthly allowances do not roll over or have a cash value.
What happens if my website goes down?+
Monitoring helps us identify availability issues and investigate them. We will take reasonable steps to restore service or work with the relevant provider; no unsupported uptime guarantee is implied.
Can I cancel?+
Yes. Managed Website Launch has a 12-month initial term. Cancelling during it requires payment of the remaining website build balance. Website Care plans have a 3-month initial term. After the relevant initial term, services continue monthly and can be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice.
Do I own my website?+
Yes. With Managed Website Launch, ownership transfers once the 12-month initial term and all invoices are paid. For a one-off build, ownership transfers when the agreed build fee is paid. Third-party software, services and licences remain subject to their own terms.
What happens if I cancel the managed service?+
We provide a reasonable route to move the website elsewhere. A £195 Offboarding & Handover fee covers preparing the project export, technical notes, account transfers and a handover call. Migration work, third-party costs or changes needed for another host are quoted separately.
Can you manage an existing website?+
Possibly. Existing third-party websites require a technical review and onboarding from £295. We then confirm whether a managed plan is suitable and quote any remedial work separately.
Can I upgrade my plan later?+
Yes. A plan can be reviewed as your website becomes more important or your support needs change.
